My Purpose

I enjoy researching and trying new things, and when I find something that peaks my interest then I must share it. Paranormal experiences including ghosts, astral traveling, healing, mythological creatures and UFOs, are just a few of the subjects I enjoying discovering more about. Any and all personal experiences and investigations I am joined by my wife and a few other investigators. I do what I do with respect and the knowledge that there are some strong forces out there beyond our control, and wish anyone choosing to dabble in the Paranormal do the same. Please subscribe to my blog, and I hope you enjoy. :)

Spokane's 1000 Steps

In Spokane there is a legend of 1,000 steps at the famous Greenwood Cemetery.

What many people don't know is that the memorial at the top of the steps was originally built and covered with bronze by the Elk Masons of Spokane. They threw lavish parties and had extravagant get togethers supposedly at the 3rd level of the cemetery, where you could see the view of downtown Spokane. These Masons eventually spent all their money and became broke. So to afford the parties the stole the bronze from the memorial and then actually sold the memorial itself. They were buried around in different areas of the cemetery. The railway system in Spokane used to drop the visitors to the cemetery off at the bottom of the steps to the Elks memorial, which is why the steps have become such a "paranormal" hotspot. Being in the area you can tell that the people who come there, come baring very unnerving energy and they leave with that energy deposited there at the steps. I had the pleasure of investigating, only during the day, and had quite a feel of the energy around the steps. Depressing, heavy energy surrounded the area of the steps and the temple. The graffiti on the memorial is also quite a stimulant for some unnerving power source. All around the memorial is Brothers of the Masons, and many of their family. It was incredible to feel the amount of darkness and oppression weighing on my shoulders, and the chill that washed over me even on such a sunny day. When driving up to the second terrace of the cemetery, I had the feeling of being drawn to this white statuette while passing. Leaving it to be so I could investigate the steps, she never left my mind. So half hour later and I'm standing at her feet and upon the grave is a Masons symbol. The graves around were that of a family.

The cemetery also holds a mass grave for the Sprague and Division railroad disaster. When 200 pounds of dynamite exploded due to a worker tamping the cords with a steel pole, many workers were blown to bits and pieces. We know this because that’s all they could recover from the blast. The 20 year anniversary for the dedication of the memorial is this upcoming May 27th, 2016. 26 men died in the 1890 disaster.

But the most famous story is that of a woman seen in white roaming the grounds. Buried near the mass grave, they say she lies in the ground adjacent to her murderous husband! They say that she was wooed by the man, and tricked into believing he was a wealthy, successful business man, who could keep her lavish lifestyle. But when she arrived at his home after they had been married, she found it completely empty. He had sold every last possession to get to that exact moment, with her as his wife. Appalled, she left him and quickly filed for an annulment. Enraged, the man followed her to downtown where he shot and killed her with a revolver. Being that she was a socialite, the townspeople then found and hung the husband. Now at night you can see her walking the grounds, supposedly frantic and angered to be laying so near her killer.
